Dr. Khin Marla, known widely by her lifestyle brand name MarlaMango, is one of Myanmar’s most admired women in business and social leadership.
With a career spanning over three decades, she has founded some of the nation’s most respected premium brands – including Casabella Luxury Furniture and RealFitness Gyms – while also becoming a mentor, speaker, and lifestyle icon across Asia.
She holds a degree in Science and pursued further education in Singapore, where she met her late husband, Mr. Gilbert Chua, a respected businessman who greatly influenced her early entrepreneurial journey.
In both boardrooms and social impact spaces, Marla is a symbol of strength, elegance, and generosity.
Personal Story
Born in Myitkyina, Kachin State, Marla’s journey began far from the spotlight. She was raised with a strong sense of values, resilience, and deep respect for others – qualities that would define her leadership later in life.
Her life took a pivotal turn when she moved to Singapore for education. There, she not only broadened her academic and business foundations, but also experienced love, loss, and personal transformation.
After returning to Myanmar, she channeled everything she had learned into building businesses that uplift homes, bodies, and communities. In 1989, she launched her first venture – and never stopped building since.
